Elementary Principal 

The Minersville Area School District seeks a strong, student-centered leader to serve as Elementary School Principal (Grades PreK–6). The successful candidate will lead an engaging, positive school focused on building a solid foundation in literacy, numeracy, and whole-child development. This leader will ensure every student, including those who need specialized supports, has access to high-quality instruction and the opportunity to succeed.

The Elementary School Principal sets a clear vision for teaching and learning, supports staff growth, and builds a culture of high expectations and respect. The principal works closely with teachers, families, and the community to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily school operations with a focus on safety, consistency, and a positive climate
  • Guide and support effective instruction aligned to district goals in literacy and mathematics
  • Supervise and evaluate staff, provide meaningful feedback, and promote professional growth
  • Use data to drive decisions and improve student outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with special education, intervention, and student support services
  • Foster strong relationships with families and maintain open, consistent communication
  • Promote a culture that values student achievement, character, and well-being

Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania Principal K–12 certification required 
  • Successful experience in elementary education, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
  • Experience supporting diverse learners, including students with special needs
  • Proven ability to build relationships and lead collaborative teams
