Mrs. Melissa Pytak

My name is Mrs. Melissa Pytak.  This is my 23rd year as a teacher and my 15th year at Minersville!  My first three years at Minersville, I taught grades 1-3 supplemental learning support for 3 years, next was three years of 3rd grade learning support, then 6 years first grade learning support, 1 year autistic support, and back to first grade learning support for 2 years now.  Previous to teaching at Minersville, I taught at Panther Valley Elementary for seven years (3rd grade learning support) and Pine Grove High School for one year (grades 9-12 Emotional Support).

I graduated from Minersville High School in 1997.  I graduated from Misericordia University in 2001 with a bachelor’s of science in elementary and special education.  I have also completed courses at the master’s level in curriculum development from Wilkes University.

I currently live in Minersville with my husband of 22 years, Harry, and our children Hunter 10th grade, Giuliana 8th grade, Kadyn 4th  grade, and our very special pug, Lexie.  I can usually be seen driving around town in circles chauffeuring my kids and their friends to football, cheer, CCD, or thier job at BGs.
