Mrs. Snyder

Mrs. Snyder teaches 4th Grade Science and Social Studies. A graduate of Bloomsburg University, she has been teaching for 32 years.

  • Welcome to 4th Grade! This will be a transitional year for students, as they sharpen and refine the many concepts introduced in the primary grades. Students will be expected to be more independent and take greater responsibility in their own learning. I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students, as well as their families, as the year goes on.

All students use homework notebooks provided by the school district. They are a great organizational and communication tool for students, parents, and me. Time is spent daily updating their notebooks with information on assignments and important dates.

Quarterly grades will be generated from tests, quizzes, homework/seatwork assignments  that are collected, which provide feedback for making instructional decisions and assessing student progress. Quizzes are especially important, as they inform me if students are ready for further instruction. Quizzes, seatwork, and homework assignments will be used as grades. Some Cold Reads will be use a Test grade. Tests are a double grade.
