About Me 

The Minersville School District has always been a huge part of my life.  I grew up in the Minersville area and graduated from the Minersville High School in 1992.  I continued my education at the Pennsylvania State University where I became a proud Nittany Lion.  You could say that I have blue blood running through my veins!  I graduated from Penn State in 1996 with a bachelor of science degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education.  I returned to the Minersville area and began teaching for my alma matter in 1997.  I spent almost twenty years teaching second grade. In 2010, I earned my master of science degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.  I spent the last 5 years working as a Title I Reading teacher, helping to remediate struggling readers from kindergarten to second grade.  Reading is a love of mine.  Teaching children how to read is my passion. 

I married my high school sweetheart in 1999 and we are now parents of two amazing children and one pretty fantastic rescue dog.  We live in the Minersville area. We love to travel, explore new places, and spend our time just being together.
