Hi 7th & 8th Graders,

I hope as you are reading this message from me, you and your family are safe, happy & healthy. The next few weeks will be a little different than how we had all imagined our school year to go. However, we will make the best of it and continue our learning to the fullest extent. For the next few weeks, I will be posting review information as way to refresh your memory and keep your brains sharp! We will start with Chapter 1 for both 7th and 8th grade and then continue until we make it to our current chapters. On the left hand side of this page, you will see "7th Grade Review & Enrichment Work" and "8th Grade Review & Enrichment Work". Each week you will find new review links, questions, games and videos to help you review each topic we have already covered this year. Just click on the grade you are currently in and go through the work to the best of your best ability. REMEMBER -- none of this is mandatory/graded BUT if you have any problems or need any questions answered DO NOT hesitate to email me --> kschleicher@battlinminers.com. I miss each one of you and would love to hear from you!

Stay healthy & keep learning!!! (& 8th Graders -- don't forget to check out those moon phases each night!)

Mrs. Schleicher :)

Meet the Teacher

Hi, my name is Kelsey Schleicher and I am the 7th and 8th grade science teacher at Minersville High School. This year marks my 6th year teaching Life Science and Earth/Space Science in the MASD school district. To me, science is all about exploring, observing and capturing knowledge from all parts of life around you. I am so grateful to share my passion of science with all the wonderful students that walk through my door.

Educational Background

I am a proud graduate of the 2009 Minersville Area High School Class and even more proud to be teaching at my Alma Mater. I graduated in 2013 from Kutztown University with a dual certification in Special Education and Middle School EducationWithin my middle school certification, I have concentrations in Mathematics and Science. In 2018, I graduated with my Master's Degree in Instructional Development and Strategies from Wilkes University.

In my Classroom

I am an advocate for hands-on learning and instruct my students through activities, labs, projects and group work. I LOVE technology and make sure to educate the students how to use technology appropriately and to the benefit of their learning. But most of all, I strive to foster a safe, caring learning environment for all students with all educational needs. In other words -->"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." (Educational and Fun, 2019)
