Topic 11 – Converting Metric Units of Measure (Length, Capacity & Weight)
This week we will be continuing Topic 11, converting units of measure!
I will post a video on the lesson; the video lesson is from our math series website, Pearson Realize. Your log in information is in your planner. If you need your log in information, please send me a dojo message. I will also post other videos that you can view if needed. I have attached the conversion help sheets that we would have glued into our interactive notebook. I will also assign a practice set in Get More Math and a printable worksheet of the same material. You only need to complete at least one of those 2 by Sunday, May 17, but are welcome to do as many of them as you like for practice.
- When converting (switching) from a larger unit to a smaller unit, you will divide.
- When converting (switching) from a smaller unit to a larger unit, you will multiply.
- Figure out what measurement is your starting point & follow the arrows on the conversion help sheet.
- You may use a calculator.
- If you print and complete your work using the printable worksheet file, please send me a dojo message with the answers when completed!
