The student's report card grade summarizes achievement of skills throughout a marking period as evidenced mainly by tests.
Communication of Grades:
Test Envelopes- Please sign and return the tests and the envelope to school ASAP! Tests envelopes will be sent home upon completion of Unit tests.

Report Cards- at the end of each marking period
Progress Reports
Only utilized for D or F grades
Sent home Mid-Marking Period- So parents are aware of the low grade and students would have time left to bring up their grades
Parent / Teacher Conferences- November- Not a scheduled time (previous years)
Informal Methods (Ex: phone call)
Weight: All tests in third grade carry an equal weight.
Make-up Tests:
Short Absences: If the test was announced the day before a student was absent, the student is expected to take the test either the day he/she returns or the next day.
Extended Absences: Discussions between the teacher and the parents will determine when the student is ready for the test(s).
Academic Dishonesty:
Anyone observed cheating will receive an automatic zero on that assessment.
