Homework is an important part of the school experience and the learning process. It keeps parents informed of their child’s progress throughout the year and supports concepts taught in school.
Kindergarten homework is also a resource for you to review the concepts taught with your child and see what they can do without the help of their teacher. Any worksheets sent home as part of weekly homework DO NOT need to be returned to school.
Homework includes the missed work when your child is absent from school. This work should be completed in a timely manner.
Homework is to be completed in pencil unless the directions say otherwise.
Our Math Series provides an extra paper with each lesson to review what was taught. There is a box in the top right side of the paper that says “Homework and Practice". You do NOT need to return them to school. They are for you to use at home if you would like to review what was taught and have extra practice.
Letter, word and math rings should be reviewed daily. We will do word ring checks every other week starting in mid-September. When your child masters the words on one list they will be given a new one.
We thank you for working with us to ensure that your child has a positive school experience!
