Principal’s Welcome Message
It is my distinct honor to serve the Minersville Area School District. Minersville is an incredible community school with a proud tradition and focused on achievement of all students. Our dedicated and highly qualified staff work together with parents to challenge each student to their highest level of achievement in order to prepare students for life beyond high school.
Our classrooms are changing. With technology, information flow has increased dramatically and our teachers are no longer the students’ only source of information. Instead of providing information through a lecture, our teachers will shift to helping students make meaning of information, and apply it in meaningful ways.
We encourage parent involvement in academics and extracurricular activities. It is what keeps Minersville a strong community oriented school. Please contact me anytime if I can help or serve you in anyway.
James Grabusky, Principal
Minersville Jr. / Sr. High School
New Student Orientation
Orientation for all new and 7th grade students and their parents is Thursday August 27th, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Jr. / Sr. High School. We are offering more and more extracurricular activities each year and advisors will be on hand to explain their programs. Getting involved in an extracurricular activity promotes school spirit, helps student grow in a positive direction while avoiding discipline issues. Please attend orientation with your student to help get them off to a great Battlin Miner start and stay involved with your school!
